Let the Mask Decide.
In 2009 I made a mask and it reminded me of the Joker. So I thought to myself, if this was the Joker, what would the rest of his costume look like? Using purple thrift store garments, I refitted a jacket and trousers into this Impressionist Joker outfit. Like he’s hunting the Batman at Carnivale!
To complete the ensemble, I built an oversized comedy mallet, a grinning skull-faced pimp cane, and repainted a suction dart gun to match my threads. What would the Joker be without a few tricks?

Lots of grownups said they liked my costume, and then asked me to tell them what it was supposed to be. But every kid I met knew right away that I was the Joker!
